As we started marketing BalanceDo, we realized that good, focused landing pages would make a huge difference on how we targeted our marketing.
We initially built our first landing page to test out whether the idea of creating an API was a marketable one. Would people sign up for BalanceDo in order to send beautiful invoices through their own apps.
While we were waiting for that to play out, I built several landing pages around specific users. Each of us who had a business card also got a landing pages. The URL’s were simple, and easy to remember. balancedo.com/for/person
I created the front end elements and told the development team how we needed to build the back end so that these pages could quickly be spun up.
The landing pages for people turned out to be a big hit, and people liked the personal element of the landing pages on our business cards.
