On Friday Night we went to see X2: X-Men United with Nikki, Tim, Tiffany and Jeff, and it was amazing. I think it may be my new favourite comic movie of all time, pushing The Matrix to number 2, Spidey down to number 3, and Superman down to number 4!

Nightcrawler was just perfect, and the little cameos by dudes like Colossus, Kitty Pryde, and Jubilee were really cool.

Top ten favourite comic book related movies (subject to change when the rest of the summer unfolds):

1: X2: X-Men United

2: The Matrix

3: Spider-Man

4: Superman

5: The Crow

6: X-Men

7: Batman

8: The Mask

9: The Rocketeer

10: Superman 2

This could be the best summer for movies in a long time. Just checking out the Apple.com website there’s a ton of great stuff, including: Underworld (Vampires vs Werewolves, very cool concept), The Hulk, Bad Boys 2, Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Carribean, S.W.A.T., 28 Days Later, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Terminator 3, Kill Bill, and of course The Matrix Reloaded.

On Saturday I went and played some roller hockey with Jeff, and I’m still paying for it today…ouch. Char and I went out to Fairview mall in the afternoon, and then rented out Femme Fatale…which wasn’t so good. That’s something like four movies in a row we’ve rented and not really liked.

On Sunday I got my bike out, cleaned it up, and took it for a ride. Which is probably another reason I’m in pain today.

On my way home, I picked up the first 24 disc, and we watched the first episode last night. Okay, now I see what all the hype’s about. The cinematography is amazing. It’s a great looking show, and it must be expensive as all get out to produce. I’m really looking forward to another episode tonight.

I also bought this really cool book on grilling this weekend, and I made an amazing barbeque sauce and barbeque rub last night. Damn, I forgot to put the cover on the barbeque, and it’s raining today…blah!

Today I went to Centennial for my orientation class. The course is going to be amazing, and I start this Friday. There’s a lot to be done before then though.
